Rick had his first day of work yesterday. A bit of an adjustment after being out of an office for 6 weeks. He was kept busy getting settled into his new space and had very little comments. He did enjoy a desk lunch with his new boss where they discussed the direction of Rick’s energies. He left this morning for day 2!
Max is now enrolled in Westlake College for Boys. There is a question about whether or not he will attend this last “form”. The students began on Monday and are going over their previous work. They will then take a 2 week break and home school. Then return to take a series of tests. And then that’s it. The director called and didn’t really see a benefit for Max being there at this time. Rick isn’t as sure about that so he is calling the school back to discuss it.
The weather has been intermittently rainy and windy. And it is raining again this morning. Tomorrow is supposed to clear. I have found a site to convert centigrade to farenheit. So I now know that 17 degrees is 63 degree F. Not too bad. The wind has been warmer these last couple of days so t-shirts have been enough to be comfortable. (Although you still need that rain jacket).
Our pace has slowed down quite a bit. We are looking forward to moving. And we are enjoying our day 10 here in NZ.
