(Excerpted from Cindy’s blog)
A friend, Judy, from the North Shores Miniature Club was getting rid of some of her stuff and she said I could have this adorable paper mache house. It is so cute and has such potential. It is a bit smaller then 1/24th scale but who says you have to stay the lines! I have not decided how I want to finish it yet, I am thinking of ideas. Maybe a holiday house….
Sarah has been getting crafty! She hand-stitched a little bear and then needle felted a little bunny. They remind me of her little sketches. You can see them on her blog, zenzoa.com.
On another subject, we have been selling furniture on Trade Me. I am amazed how things get bid up. It makes me nervous that someone may be unhappy they spent so much money on an item when they actually see it. But Rick says that is their risk. I did price things low and tried to describe things truthfully, mentioning damaged areas. So far folks seem happy with their purchases.
The pest control guy came yesterday and indeed we have a colony of rats in the attic. So he placed bait out and will return in 2 weeks. Sarah and I hate to kill anything but I know the owner would do it and the problem will just get worse with time. At night we hear the scurrying of little feet! But the pest guy could not figure how they are getting in. He found no obvious hole from the inside or the outside. Tricky little guys!
Sandy is home now! She had a long day of traveling and has suffered from some jet lag. But she is feeling better today! Sarah’s turn next!
