(Excerpted from Cindy’s blog)
So, Thanksgiving has come and gone. I know that Rick has written about our day on his blog so I won’t repeat it except to say that it was a stormy boat ride and a pleasant get-together. The Pardey’s have a neat little two story house with a dock and workshop. It reminded me a little of Frontier Land at Disneyland. It’s right up to the water’s edge with a deck on the second floor that has rope railings. Very charming.
My only other reflections about Thanksgiving are concerning food. We asked at each store but not one carried canned pumpkin. So no pumpkin bread. Also we didn’t locate any turkey. Not that we looked that hard. Lin Pardey special ordered hers from the South Island. It must be sold here because I have seen recipes that include turkey as an ingredient. Maybe nearer to Christmas….
We just found out today that our shipping container is delayed again. There was a problem in Spain. So no word on when it will arrive. I will just say that I would not use Hill Moving again. Maybe things happen in that business that can obviously be out of their control but I think they might have communicated better the process of shipping internationally. Its frustrating but we’ll be fine. Worse things could happen.
I have been working on my dollhouse miniature projects. I made a 1″ scale Christmas scene, and I am now working on a second project. It is a 1″ store that is Christmas themed as well.

Max and I put up our Christmas tree – It is so nice to see it all lit up at night. We have to wait til about 8:30p when it gets dark to really see the effects of the lights! Wierd!
